ACCLAIM is an acronym for Amazing Confident Children Learning Achievement Initiative and Motivation.
The name says it all.
Founded in 2000, ACCLAIM has provided tutoring, mentoring and academic enrichment services for thousands of students in the Houston/Harris County service area.
Services include peer group meetings twice monthly, tutorials, youth chorus, guest speakers, field trips, community service referrals, counseling, peer and community mentors.
Programs offered Annual Back to School Bash and Back Pack program, Thanksgiving Feast, Project Santa, Sweet heart Banquet, Spring Break Challenge, Black Tie Awards banquet, Summer Science, Math and Reading Challenge (Eight Weeks of Fun).
ACCLAIM's programs and services are designed to encourage and challenge students to do their best. We also celebrate cultural diversity and encourage learning about other cultures.
Activities and outings include visiting cultural enrichment venues such as museums, the ballet, symphony and theatre. We welcome guest speakers from many different professions and disciplines. Students are encouraged to think outside the box.
Mission Statement
The mission of ACCLAIM Youth Foundation is to provide an outlet or medium where kids can learn and be creative and become future leaders in the community.
